What Was the Brief?

The client brief was to deliver an engaging experience for an internal launch of the new Kellogg's Squares bars, allowing Kellogg's team members to sample the new products to better understand how to present and sell them to their customer base. It had to look great within the space at Kellogg’s HQ, be available for team members to get involved with throughout their working day, and most of all, it had to be memorable!


What Did We Do?

We wanted to think outside the box so we collated our ideas on ways in which we could make the launch as engaging as possible. After recently delving into the realms of Virtual Reality for one of the biggest sporting events of the year; the 2019 Cricket World Cup at Emirates Old Trafford, we took on the challenge of incorporating this exciting, new technology into the Kellogg’s product launch. Embracing the theme of ‘dragons’ and ‘unicorns’, we carefully designed and curated a totally bespoke Virtual Reality world for each one. In order to really encapsulate our office-based audience, we wanted to make the game as fun and interactive as possible – so what better choice than ten pin bowling?! The aim of the game for both Team Dragon and Team Unicorn was simple; bowl to win! And just to ramp up the pressure that little bit more... we implemented a leader board to record scores throughout the day and whoever scored the highest would win a £75 voucher meal for 2 - not bad, hey?


What Was the Outcome?

We were thrilled to have achieved what we set out to, delivering fully on our client’s brief. We created an entirely bespoke ‘unicorn’ & ‘dragon’ themed game, engaging the player in a fun and interactive Virtual Reality world. We designed a mystical space within Kellogg’s HQ, incorporating branded banners and props whilst distributing samples throughout the day for team members to (quite literally!) get a taste for. In short, we turned an ordinary Tuesday at Kellogg’s into a fun-packed, engaging day full of tasty Squares goodness and just a small dose of healthy competition...
